Renée Roberge grew up in a musical family. Everyone specialized in an instrument, so it was only natural that Renée should have one, too. She started on the piano, playing duets with Mom and taking part in holiday sing-alongs until a chance front-row seat at the symphony found her less than ten feet from the duo harpists in the "Sorceror's Apprentice". That was 1979 and Renée has been playing the harp ever since the morning after that concert.

She has studied music at the College of Marin in Kentfield and at Dominican College in San Rafael. Renée's harp teachers were Linda Wood and Karen Gottlieb, and her Master Class experiences have been with Susann McDonald and Alice Chalifoux.

Symphony work included solo appearances with the College of Marin Orchestra and ensemble playing with the Dominican College Orchestra, Diablo Youth Symphony and many chamber groups. Renée has played in the pit orchestra for many small theatre productions of shows and musicals such as "The Fantastiks", "My Fair Lady", and "South Pacific".

Since 1983 Renée has concentrated on solo repertoire for weddings and background dining music. Her play list includes songs from the 40's to the 90's with enough folk tunes and recognizable classics to please nearly everyone's musical tastes.

Over the years she has played for Sunday Brunch or background dinner music regularly at several different hotels. Among them:
